Album JP 1997 on Bondage Music label
Rock (Hard Rock)
Format: 3 x 2CD Box, 87 Tracks, 7 Hrs 11 Min 14 Sec. (Disc 1: 74:11, Disc 2: 77:15, Disc 3: 77:12, Disc 4: 74:10, Disc 5: 71:10, Disc 6: 57:26) Comments: Excellent ! One of the most expensive bootlegs I ever saw, but it really worth its price ... Another good product from the Japanese Bondage Records, with 6 discs that contain 7 shows from 1978 to 1994, in chronological order. Each 2-disc case has a nice sleeve with photos related to the period of the discs recordings. The whole thing comes in a beautiful deluxe box. Discs 1 and 2: Good stereo sound from WBCN broadcasts for these two shows among the many that have been recorded in March, 1978. Kings And Queens on disc 2 is the one at the beginning of Pandora's Box disc 3. What a shame that there's a hiss in the recording on the 1st disc, from track 5 to 10 Disc 3: Very good stereo that was originally broadcasted on radio. This concert was their 10th Anniversary show, and featured Jimmy Crespo on guitar. Includes a rare live version of Think About It. Disc 4: Very good stereo from a WBCN broadcast for this famous show on Valentine's Day 1984, one of the last with Jimmy Crespo and Rick Dufay on guitar. The legend says that Joe Perry and Brad Whitford, that attended the show backstage, came at the end to greet the band, and so made the 1st step towards their reunion. Mama Kin, Three Mile Smile, Reefer Head Woman, Lord Of The Thighs and Train Kept A Rollin' from this show are on the official Classics Live record, although the final guitar solo of Train is missing on Classics Live. We can hear that Steven shouting "Mr. Dufay !" - instead of "Mr. Whitford !" as usual - at the beginning of Lord Of The Thighs was lowered on Classics Live's edit. The record features a great version of No More No More. Seems like the beginning of Sick As A Dog has been edited. Disc 5: Very good stereo from this show on New Year's Eve during the Back In The Saddle Tour. They even play Let The Music Do The Talking - that they'll record on Done With Mirrors some months later - like on Joe Perry's first album of the same name. The 5 last tracks come from a MTV Unplugged-like acoustic session apparently in Madrid, and feature songs that's unusual to hear unplugged. Disc 6: Excellent stereo sound that surely come from a Swedish radio broadcast, since we can hear a guy making comments on the songs that are diffused. Nice version of Flesh.
