Album US 1980 on Paul Winley Records label
Hip-Hop/Rap and R&B/Soul
© ℗ 1980 This is the FIRST volume of the Zulu Nation Throw Down on vinyl (7:05 version) (there is also a second volume that was also first released in 1980). Side A is a vocal version by the Cosmic Force and side B is an instrumental version by the Harlem Underground Band. This version can be distinguished by the absence of a stem on the Paul Winley Records crescent logo, and the deep groove that circles the interior of the labels. The original version can also be distinguished from subsequent counterfeit pressings by the width of the runout groove relative to that of the vinyl with the recorded audio. On the this version, the runout grooves span over a third of the disc's radius whereas on the counterfeit versions, the runout grooves are much thinner and, as a consequence, the portion of the vinyl with the recorded audio spans nearly the entire width of the disc on the other versions.
