Cuban son-experimental band founded in 1977 by Nicolás Reinoso, director & tenor saxophone; José Carlos Acosta, soprano saxophone, composer and arranger; Fernando Acosta, soprano saxophone, composer and arranger; Roberto García, trumpet; René Luis Toledo, guitar, composer and arranger; Ernán López-Nussa, piano; Ángel López, contrabass; Tony Valdés, drums; Mario Luis Pino, tumbadora, and Anselmo Febles (Chembo), vocals, percussion. They won some awards and in 1984 began their collaboration with Silvio Rodríguez, the line-up was: Oriente López; keyboards, flute, director; Fernando Acosta, saxophone; Fernando Calveiro, electric guitar; Roberto García López and Edilio Calidad Montero, trumpets; Omar Hernández, electric bass; Ernán López-Nussa, piano; Eddy Peñalver, vocals, percussion; Mario Luis Pino, tumbadora, and Oscar Valdés Moreno, drums.
