After the Ibis is an 8-piece reggae band hailing from Ireland with prominent jazz, soul, rock & dub influences. Forming on Dublin’s Northside in late 2007, they have spent the last few years writing and performing. The band has gained a great live reputation that has seen them perform alongside some of reggae's legendary groups, names like Toots and the Maytals, Bunny Wailer, Max Romeo, Third World, The Gladiators, The Tosh/Marley Band, The Skatalites and Junior Marvin among others... In July 2014 they released their début album 'Busy Waiting' to a sold out launch party in Dublin City. The album was written, recorded and produced by the band themselves & the ten original tracks were mixed & mastered by legendary reggae producer Jim Fox, at Lion & Fox Studios in Washington D.C. Several years in the making… the album has welcomed rave reviews and the Dublin-based band have firmly established themselves on the Irish original music scene. ‘Busy Waiting’ is out now online and in shops
