Album JP 2006 on PJL label
Jazz (Free Improvisation)
Recorded live at Pit Inn, Tokyo, 22 April 2005. On this night in Tokyo, in front of about 100 people, Akira Sakata reached his hands into his saxophone and pulled out this eternal sound. Not tied to any time, any place, this is a direct connection with the human spirit and the sound of freedom. That night 5 people joined in unison to create a kaleidoscopic bonfire of past and present, real and imaginary, water and fire (Jim O'Rourke).
