The first release of the Akpatok project. It contains three long multilayered compositions arising from the quest for sonic stillness and meditative harmony – an essential part of natural soundscape. Nature – treated here as a limen, or gate – leads listeners into a realm of music filled by the love of emptiness and the endless continuity of sound. The music of Akpatok becomes a personal act of Waldeinsamkeit and a witness to being close to what is continually changeable, inconstant and perpetual at the same time.
