A.k.a. Alfred Meixner
Accordionist. His professional career started at age eleven, he has gone on to perform all around the world as a featured soloist with the Duquesne University Tamburitzans and with his own bands. His talents were also utilized by numerous polka, jazz, country, international, rock, tamburitza and classical ensembles. He has also been a staff musician/arranger at Walt Disney World in Florida for over 7 years in addition to performing, producing and engineering over 70 recordings for himself and other artists – including a track on the 1994 Grammy award winner with Canada’s Polka King, Walter Ostanek. His expertise on the button accordion has astounded audiences and critics although he was equally proficient on piano accordion, bass guitar, keyboards, drums, tambura, string bass (his college major) and vocals in eleven languages. He also was co-owner of Jo-Al Father of Alex Meixner
