A.k.a. Arnold "Al" Turay
Age 96, passed away after a long battle with Parkinson's January 14th 2010. He was born and raised in Seattle of Scandinavian descent. He had a long musical career playing in various jazz groups and bands from the 30's until his retirement in 1995. Some of his musical friends included: Herb Ellis, Buddy Fite, Elmer Gill Barney Kessel, Bruce Lofgren, Henry Mancini, Wes Montgomery, and Joe Pass. He was noted as one of the best guitar teachers in the NW.
