French editor, poet, writer and explorer born on the 21st of February 1920 in Paris. In 1945, he founded K éditeur and published texts by Georges Bataille, Antonin Artaud, Aimé Césaire, Benjamin Péret, Jacques Vaché... In 1948, he conducted the two years long Orénoque Amazone expedition and made a book out of this adventure that has been regularly reprinted up to now. He made numerous documentaries and several books untlll his death, the 21st of february 2013.
