Alan Clark, musician, songwriter and author, was born February 9th, 1943 in Topeka, Kansas. Alan's musical influences were Elvis Presley, Gene Vincent and the Blue Caps and his idol to be, Eddie Cochran. Alan was hooked on the rock-a-billy beat. In 1974, Alan published his first book on Buddy Holly. Others followed including books on Eddie Cochran, Gene Vincent and Jerry Lee Lewis. Eventually, he would do a series of books called "Rock and Roll Legends." Member of the following groups: Alan Clark and the Del-sonics (1964) Alan Clark and the Libertys (1964) The Jade Stones (1964) Alan Clark and the Counts (1965) The Go-rillas (1965) Hollywood Vines (1967) The Rondells (1967), later changed name to Alan Clark and Co. The Rock Shop (1968) The Insex (1969) Wildfire (1970's) Squeeze Play (1970's)
