British baritone singer. He sang with various opera companies in the U.K. and in Chicago and Philadelphia. He recorded for Edison, Victor, Gramophone Co., Odeon, Edison Bell, Marathon, Operaphone, Pathé and others. He had his own recording company (Alan Turner Opera Co.) and toured widely in the 1930's.
