Rare: actual solo nyckelharpa. Alban Faust playing his nyckelharpa, direct, without reverb, without studio effects, without all the trappings - just naked ("naken") nyckelharpa. It encompasses traditional pieces that Alban has encountered in the last 20 years in and around his adopted hometown of Dalsland as well as original compositions. Here is a very private recording from Alban Faust, an emotional interpretation from the musician. No "power-folks" but rather - "the power is in the rests" - in many places bringing an almost melancholy, sensual and enchanting atmosphere. The consistently polyphonic and rhythmic playing bring variety to this CD. Dance music that goes directly into the legs, melodies that invite you to linger a little longer (even if they are dances) and "listen-only pieces" beautifully complement each other.
