American lyricist born in 1901 and died in 1974. He wrote lyrics for the Presidential Anthem of the United States ("Hail to the Chief"), the English lyrics to the spanish song "Amapola" and some Irving Fields's songs ("Chantez, Chantez" or "Managua, Nicaragua").
