Originally from the Philippines Dj/Producer Aldwin Macapagal (aka Novaliches Track) started Dj’ing in 1990 whilst working for a mobile sound system in his home town of Manilla. He acquired his first residency in 1992 at one of the city’s hottest clubs at the time “Equinox”. After 6 years he sought a new challenge in China, arriving in Shenzhen in 1998 he took up at residency at 21stCentury. The following year he moved to “JJ Rock n Roll”, which with a 2000 capacity was the largest club in Beijing. In 2001 he left the capital to become the creative force behind “Club Cinderella” which remains the number one club in Shandong Province, China. Whilst working as music director for Club Cinderella he set up his own company Wulongzu Dj Connection. Wulongzu has gone on to become one of the most successful DJ agencies and event management companies in China. Past events have enabled Aldwin to play alongside some of the most successful Dj’s in the world such as X-Press 2, Scott Bond, Agnelli & Nelson, Gareth Emery, Above and Beyond, Flash Brothers, Marc Hughes (Ministry of Sound), Filo & Peri, Dr Kucho, Dylan Rhymes, D-Formation,Del Horno, Lange, The Thrillseekers & Claudia Cazacu, D-Styles and many others. 2005 saw the release of “Novaliches Track” Aldwin’s well received debut album which as well as marking the shift towards music production also sparked an extensive national tour sponsored by Budweiser. The past few years has seen a string of influential tribal house tracks released on American label Bedroom Muzik as well original productions signed to Coraza Recordings and Bamboo Music Australia. The success of these releases led to Aldwin Macapagal being invited to Play at the Miami Winter Music Conference in both 2008 and 2009. 2010 has also seen the start of “Intense Beats” and the birth of Wulongzu Records.
