He took jazz workshops in the United States with Joe Diorio and with Jim Hall. He has been a founder and member of groups such as: Leviatán, Las Insólitas Imágenes de Aurora, Caifanes. In all of them he has done one or more of the following tasks: lead guitarist, arranger, author, co-author, producer, co-producer and singer. Since 1995, besides playing concerts and producing records, he devotes part of his time to teaching music, giving clinics, workshops and master classes for guitarists and groups, as well as harmony and improvisation workshops in Mexico, United States United and Spain. He also performs as a soloist doing pure improvisation with electric guitar and pedal loops. To date he has taken his music to the following countries: Mexico, United States, Spain, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Venezuela, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Panama and Honduras. Alejandro Marcovich was the one who popularized the accessory for electric guitar E bow in Mexico and throughout Latin America, creating incredible atmospheres in his songs. A very good example is the song "La Llorona", from the album El nervio del volcán, by the Mexican group Caifanes, where he makes an incredible solo with a dark atmosphere, recording several channels with that accessory, creating a chilling and vibrant performance. He also used it in the single ending of "Miedo", from the same album, and in many other songs, such as "Alfombra mágica", from the album "Alebrije", his second solo album.
