He was awarded a scholarship at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, United States, where he perfected his jazz studies graduating with honors. His work as a jazz performer has been extensive both in Mexico and abroad, collaborating with artists such as Antonio Sánchez, Miguel Zenón, Brian Lynch, Magos Herrera, J.D. Walter, Vaughn Roberts, Troy Millard, Louise Phelan, Jonathan Arons, Tyler Mitchell and Marc Osterer, and the main representatives of the Mexican jazz scene such as Agustin Bernal, Luri Molina, Diego Maroto, Aaron Cruz, Alexandre Kautz and Gabriel Puentes.
