A.k.a. Edgar Medina Silver St. Silverstone Transistor (2)
Alejandro Morse navigates the seas of the modern-classical/synthetic electronic music, offering processed field recordings, minimalistic noise tracks and ambient-drone explorations. Medina is also known as Transistor ––his dancefloor-oriented music. Medina was invited to be part of the Igloo Musica personnel with his Alejandro Morse project, collaborating and performing live with experimental music and sound art pioneers like: Manrico Montero, Alvaro Ruíz, Arcangelo Constantini and Arthur Henry Fork. Edgar Medina is a founding artist and collaborator for Umor Rex, he published his first full albums as Alejandro Morse under the Umor Rex imprint: Landscape Memories (2006) and Obelisks (2007); Medina was also commissioned for mastering the first batch of Umor Rex's digital/CD-R-catalog releases. Alejandro Morse published in 2018 an 8cm-miniCD + digital album called ClearLight/Void in the U.K. based label: Sleep FUSE. In 2018, Alejandro Morse returns to Umor Rex with 'Liminal', an album ranging from drone to minimal noise assembled with minimalistic motifs. Field recordings are painstakingly processed to be used as layering, which in an emotionally and touching way are entangled among arrangements emanated by digital synthesis. He applies intricate sound processing to the interwoven elements adding complexity to the listener experience.
