Musician
Aleksandra Kremenetski (Anstal) began her musical education in Moscow with singing and piano lessons. One of her first teachers was her mother Elena Anstal, who is also a musician. 1994, when Aleksandra enrolled in Tallinn Music School to study percussion, marks the time when her love for rhythmic instruments begun. Further studies have taken Aleksandra to several countries and she has discovered numerous ways to express her musical gift, one of them being through composition. Aleksandra has studied in the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, School of Music in Gothenburg, and has complemented her studies in Holland, Brazil, Finland, and Israel. Aleksandra currently lives in Tallinn and cooperates with many talented Estonian musicians, such as Ara Yaralyan, Taavo Remmel, Julia Anstal, Paul Daniel, Mirjam Kivisild, Kirke Karja, Australian jazz pianist Henri Peipman, Austrian bassist Beate Wiesinger, and many others. She has been a long-time member of the Jewish folk ensemble “Keshet” and she is the founder of percussion duo “Redel Ruudus” and Austrian-Estonian jazz quartet “Quid Novi?”. Concerts and performances have taken Aleksandra to Britain, Gibraltar, Moldova, Israel, Austria, France, Italy, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Russia, China, Finland, etc.
