Techno producer. Longtime DJ. Ceaseless ruminator. Haircut avoider. Alex Alben is a jester with many faces. As a youngster growing up in the suburbs of New York City, he fantasized about a life as a music maker, dabbling in production and DJing parties for his classmates. However, his path from hobby to profession was serpentine, as though a strand of spaghetti slithering through spacetime. He graduated from college with degrees in Math and Business and took a job as an Investment Banker. Three years, countless pastel button-downs, and one textbook case of occupational burnout later, he snapped and decided to turn his lifelong passion for music into a career. In the nearly four years since then, Alex has been diligently developing his production skills while DJing storied NYC stages including Webster Hall, Pacha, Santos Party House and Cielo.
