Alex Ayuli was a pioneer in the genre of shoegazing and post-rock with the band A.R.Kane through the 1980's. He even coined the term "Dream pop" in an interview Melody Maker journalist Simon Reynolds. During the late 1990's and early 2000's he released a series of solo recordings on his own independent label "Dreampop".
