Alex Chinaskee was originally the solo moniker of Miguel Gomes, the name is an homage to Alex Turner from the Arctic Monkeys and to Henry Chinaski, the literary alter-ego of Charles Bukowski, after the recording of "Campo", Miguel decided that he needed a backing band to perform live, which is when David Simões (Trovador Falcão) and Luís José Tojo (SunKing) started to accompany him and with the group becoming more and more cohesive they became Chinaskee & Os Camponeses and released their debut album in 2017.
