Alex Chronis was in two Cincinnati bands, Beef and The Verbs, before moving to Boston to play guitar with Lyres in 1979. He returned a year later to form Erector Set with former Beef and The Verbs member Sean Vigle. They split 3 and a half years later, and Alex began a solo project called The Altruistics.
