French liner notes author and photographer for jazz releases. Born in Dax, France. He worked as a reporter and photographer for the magazine Jazz Hot (1972-80) before becoming head of jazz for "Le Monde De La Musique" (1983-1992) and chief and managing editor of the monthly "Jazzman" (1992-2009). Author and presenter of jazz portraits emissions for Arte TV since 1999. Jazz Producer on "France Musique" since 1980. He led the "Centre national d’action musicale" (1984-1990), then the "Studio des Variétés" (1990-2009) and the artistic director of the "Festival des Musiques Croisées" in the Landes (1989-2000). He chaired the "Commission Nationale des Musiques Actuelles".
