Alexander Nikolayevich Serov (1820 – 1871) was a Russian composer and music critic, father of painter Valentin Serov. Most significant composer of opera in Russia during the 1850s and 1860s. Serov's operas: Judith (Юдифь, 1861-1863) Rogneda (Рогнеда, 1863-1865) The Power of the Fiend (Вражья сила, 1867-1871)
