Alexander Wendt has been engaged in one way or another with sonic arts and electronic music since the turn of the millenium. He is equally interested in field recording for a 'music concrete' and the silicone based composition that one would associate with pure digitalia or the clicks'n'cuts. He has been producing the Frequenzen radio programme for Resonance FM in London (his chosen home since 1997) for 4 years, he is running his own 12x50 Recordings imprint from miatera-studios just 'behind' the zero degree meridian in Greenwich, where he produced the debut albums for artists like Matt Rösner (now Room40 / Apestaartje) and Jodi Cave (12K). His own compositions have appeared on various compilations and online projects, he has collaboratively released with Benjamin Brunn, John Chantler, Gianluca Bonomo and si-cut.db just to name a few. Alexander Wendt has undertaken research projects into the field of psycho-acoustics, interactive sound art and is lecturer since 2006; on the subjects of film, sonic arts and media design at London Metropolitan University.
