Alexandre Joachim Desrousseaux, born on 01/06/1820 in Lille (France) and died in 23/11/1892 is a poet, singer and French composer. He wrote in the Lille local language and in "Ch'ti", the North of France local language. His famous work is L'Canchon Dormoire (« Lullaby »), song called "Le P'tit Quinquin" (« The little child »). This melody is nowadays played every hour by the belfry chimes of the Lille Chamber of Commerce.
