Alexandre Bittencourt

Bachelor's Degree in Flute by UNIRIO, where he graduated in the class of teacher Laura Rónai. In the field of popular music he worked with various groups and in different strands, such as choro (Embracing Jacaré), gafieira (Guanabara Orchestra), Armorial music (Gesta group), instrumental (Nicolas Krassik Quinteto), and flamenco music Levante (Flamenco). He also recorded with names such as Geraldo Azevedo, Elba Ramalho, Velha Guarda da Mangueira and Leila Pinheiro. He currently plays with the Casuarina group and accompanies the singer Teresa Cristina with the group Semente. As a fife player, he played for four years in the group "Esquenta Mulher" and toured in the interior of France. He also works in erudite music mainly as camerista in old music groups, currently a member of the UNIRIO Baroque Orchestra. Out of Brazil he performed at concerts and festivals in Droux (France), Saint Pierre D'Oriac (France), Vic Fez'n Sac (France), Paris (Paris), San Juan . In 2004 he was in Paris, where he took regular classes with flutist and teacher Alexis Kossenko. he participated in master classes with Aurèle Nicolet (Switzerland), Fernando Brandão (USA), Lívia Lanfranchi (Italy), Michel Bellavance (Canada), Brian Dean (USA), Patrick Cohen São Paulo), Helène D`Ivoire (France), Wilbert Hazelzet (Netherlands), Sandra Miller (USA), Valerie Balssa (France) and Hans-Joachim Fuss (Germany).
