Composer / Arranger / Conductor of Jazz, Classical and Brass
Czech composer, arranger and conductor. Born October 13, 1922 in Brno (former Czechoslovakia). Cofounder and 1954–1968 artistic director of the International Jazz Festival Prague. His best known works belong to the “third stream” genre, merging elements of classical music with jazz and even jazz-rock, particularly compositions recorded by the Gustav Brom Orchestra.
