Alf was one of the first melodic punk bands born in 2001, sponsored by TruchoRecords and raised in Union Punk, from Guayaquil-Ecuador influenced by the Californian wave and skateboarding. Signed with Trucho Records and were sponsored by the Union Punk movement. The band was formed by Hugo Vejar (Guitar), Oswaldo Chambers (Bass), Christian Merchán (drums) and Daniel Merchán (Guitar / voice). The band split up in 2005.
