Czech composer, songwriter, arranger, clarinetist, saxophonist, violinist. Born July 28, 1908 in Čechovice near Prostějov (former Austro-Hungarian Empire, presently Czech Republic), died December 12, 1978 in Prague (former Czechoslovakia). Also known under pseudonym “Allan” (ALfons LANger), he initiated the female vocal group Allanovy Sestry (“Allan’s Sisters”).
