Baterista, encargado de batería, percusiones y programaciones. Alfonso se integró al grupo Tranzas en 1990 tras dejar al grupo Anexxo, desde de la salida de baterísta Gorge Ponce. Nació en Bahía de Caráquez, Provincia de Manabí. Se lo conoce por su gran estatura, su cola de caballo y su afición por la comida de mar (mariscos). Considerado el más agradable de la banda por su apertura y permanente sonrisa. También tocó la batería para la banda de All Saints y Anexxo Actualmente vive en Naples - Florida con su esposa ecuatoriana-americana e hija. Su hija está siguiendo los pasos del padre al tocar la batería electrónica.
