American rhythm guitarist and occational bassist from Lateland, Florida, USA, born 25 September 1943, died 24 March 2000 in Rochester, New York, USA. He began playing with James Brown in 1964. He left to join Maceo & All The King's Men in 1970, though was said to be the most reluctant of the departing members to leave Brown.
