Born: 1940, Benge is a vocalist, lyricist, film technician and illustrator and was assistant to the editor on Nicholas Roeg's film Don't Look Now. She wrote lyrics for French musician Bertrand Burgalat and married musician Robert Wyatt in 1974. Since then she has contributed lyrics to a number of Robert Wyatt's works, including sleeve art for his releases. She has also provided art for Fred Frith's 'Gravity' and two children's books by Ivor Cutler.
