A.k.a. Grup de Danses Alimara
The group ALIMARA born in 1975 on the initiative of a group of people from the Seminary of Popular Art of the Chair of Art History at the University of Valencia, governed by Felíp Garin professor of the Faculty of Philosophy Arts in Valencia. His work has focused on research, restoration and promotion of Valencian folklore (music, dances, dances, songs and costumes) from a scientific perspective, looking for the most authentic, or not manipulate demonstrations desvirtue popular culture of our region. One of the fields has devoted greater attention and effort has been broadcasting dance, national dance in the Valencian both research, research and restoration, as giving educational level every year lots of theoretical and practical courses . Today, while we try to improve our level of education, we are working on research and restoration of songs, dances, festivals and customs that were lost or seriously endangered or manipulation.
