A.k.a. Philippe Alioth & Alexander Friedrich

Before the beginning of the co-operation from Philippe and Alexander, both played music with more or less success: While Philippe had his first hit in 1987 with his band "Touch El Arab" in Switzerland, Italy and France, Alexander only started to try to work with a synthesizer. Suprised about the success of "Touch El Arab", Philippe left the group and started to work alone in his studio and began to produce Industrial-music, under the project-name "Spartak". Also, he worked together with other musicians as Lacrimosa or Carlos Péron. Finally, Philippe and Alexander find each other, whil Alex was searching a studio for his Eurodance-project "Charisma". From the beginning, they had a good relationship and started to work together - Alioth & Friedrich was born. To describe their sound is difficult: Somewhere between Ambient, Future Jazz, Downtempo and Deep House. No wonder that Alex and Philippe said: "To concentrate on one style means to block all other ways"
