British BBC radio recording engineer. He joined the BBC in 1962 as a Technical Operator in the Control Room in Broadcasting House London and the studio complex at Maida Vale. Working in the ‘Outside Studios’, mainly converting theatres around the West End which were used for audience shows as well as private recording venues. Working as tape operator and recording engineer for producer Bernie Andrews of John Peel’s Radio One programme 'Top Gear'. In 1969 he moved to the Radio 1 Club OBs in Bristol as sound supervisor for radio and TV, specialising in radio outside broadcasts. He retired in 1992, when the BBC was closing their internal sound departement and later started playing bass guitar with the band 'The Works'. Born in the East End, London during war time.
