Alter-Ego was a Canadian new wave/alternative rock band formed in the summer of 1987 under the original name "Unmarked". After playing their first show in early 1988, they changed name to "Alter-Ego" and recorded two demos tapes and filmed one music video for the song "It's Good to Be Free". After changing their drummer, the band parted ways in the fall of 1988 with some of the member going on to play in Leading Edge and Strike Anywhere.
