Musician of Electronic and Rock
A.k.a. Ellen, Yyan, Pollo, Raluca
Czech gothic electronica group from Brno formed in 1993. Their music was then based on rich guitars, repetitive, hypnotic rhythms and the voice of Ellen. It apparently caught people's attention as fans began to slowly gather around the band. Their first album "Mare Ingenii" was released in 1999 and shortly afterwards, in 2001, they released their second album "Milovat je umírat...(Loving is dying)," all the while playing live as much as possible, even abroad in Germany, Switzerland and Spain. This gave new strength and inspiration to their music and soon new material was composed. In 2003 they recorded their third album "Thanatophobia" and decided to shoot a video that you can see on this myspace profile for the song "Flowers of the Night." This video was played on Óčko music TV where the band was invited to present it. During the break they had to take after the release of Thanatophobia, the drummer Titan decided to leave and continue cooperation with other projects. This made the band rely more on electronics and influenced the sound of the new album inspired by the darker side of modern city life. The latest album Unmasked was released on 7 May and the release party was held in Stará Pekárna club in Brno, Czech Republic. The Godfather was André Alabaster from the German band Expretus. On 10 May they played at Wave Gothic Treffen as one of the two first Czech bands ever at this festival (together with Tear from Prague).
