Amédé Ardoin (also Amadé, Amédée, Amadie, born March 11, 1896 in l'Anse des Rougeau, Louisiana, USA – died November 4, 1941 in Pineville, Louisiana, USA) was a Louisiana Creole musician (Cajun accordion, vocals), known for his high singing voice. Along with fiddle player Dennis McGee, Ardoin was one of the first artists to record Cajun music. Cousin of Alphonse Ardoin.
