« Amen! » is the shout of Edem Viana’s mother when she delivered and yet the shout became his name. Amen came to life with songs in Togo (West-African country stucked between Ghana, Benin & Burkina Faso). He has rocked with Hendrix and Marley. He learnt how to play guitar and became the star of his Bé Kpota neighborhood. He has first joined famous Togolese singers Jimi Hope or King Mensah. But, since his arrival in Paris, he has toured or performed as guitarist with Keziah Jones, Vieux Farka Touré, Calypso Rose, Belo, Patrice and as guitarist and lead singers with rock band Zoka Fonktion and funk band KB LeK... The "guitar hero" from Togo is also a fine singer & composer with two albums already released: "Gamessou" and the acoustic "Pearls & Gold". Blues, jazz, rock, AfroBeat, reggae, Amen melts it all in the pot of his personal afropop style. Creativity is at your door, the Artist is preaching, let yourself convert. Amen!
