Intellistep_01 released for Altosync marks Amousement’s foray into the Dubstep landscape. This EP delivers a nuanced approach with skillful ease that unites all the tracks into a fluid expression. Fueled by his passion for video games, the opening track “AMM” incorporates 5 levels for 5 different parts of the song. This momentum leads into track 2, featuring Amousement and UZZO’s voices,”Screwdriver” developed from recordings captured through an old Korean microphone. This mic actually required Amousement and Doctor P to incorporate a screwdriver to make the recording possible. Next is “The Battle of the Stupids” completely inspired by the title of a painting by the talented Sardinian artist Roberto Marras. The EP closes with “ASS” a swirling composition of trance inspired distorted drums and acid synths. Intellistep_01 ends begging to be played again.
