Band,
Jazz
Conceived in the practice rooms of Cal State University Northridge and flavored with Grapes & Nuts from the music studios of California University of the Arts, AMPLEDEED is a compositional studio group with a rich and creamy musical background. Though the band's influences are rooted in the progressive rock genre, it is difficult to define such a varied yet cohesive sound. The band specializes in grooves that boast rock and metal flare with jazz-influenced harmonies, maintaining balance and accessibility whilst combining the diverse and complex. Although a compositional trio, many great musicians are featured on the group's work, showcasing many musical personalities throughout the music. AMPLEDEED enjoys flavoring their music and lyrics with a tongue placed firmly in their collective cheek, though they are quite serious when it comes to melting faces. They are: Max Taylor (studied Jazz at SSU, Rock at AVC and Film/TV scoring at CSUN; plays classical percussion, drum set and most recently keyboards, sings), Aaron Goldich (began studying piano at the age of 5; achieved a Bachelor of Music in Media Composition from CSUN; he is the cofounder and frontman of prog-rock The Source), and Luis Flores (began his musical education at an early age playing Latin percussion; during his introduction to guitar, he focused on classical and flamenco styles, then later became well-versed in jazz and other styles during his enrollment at Pasadena City College).
