Anahit Nersesyan (b. 1954) is an Armenian pianist from Yerevan, Honored Artist of Armenia (2007), and professor at the Yerevan State Komitas Conservatory. She studied at the Moscow Conservatory with Viktor Merzhanov, graduating in 1977. Nersesyan won the first prize and golden medal at the VI International Johann Sebastian Bach Competition in Germany. In 1984, she participated in the J.S. Bach 300th Anniversary Festival in Germany. Since then, Anahit gave numerous recitals in Germany, France, Canada, Finland, Hungary, Austria, Japan, Baltic countries, USA and Poland. The pianist had been performing with Komitas Quartet and various notable conductors, including David Khanjian, Loris Tjeknavorian, Franco Mannino, and Emin Khachaturian. In 1994-96, Anahit played in the trio with Yakov Papyan (viola) and Hrachia Harutunyan (violin). She acted as an international jury at the Rachmaninov International Competition, J.S. Bach International Competition in Saarbrücken and other musical contests. Anahit Nersesyan organized workshops at Karol Lipiński University of Music in Wrocław, Tokyo College of Music and various institutions in Russia.
