Anakin is an alternative rock band created by Brad Chancellor in Lawrence, Kansas, on October 11, 2008. Chris Rosenthal was the 1st additional musician recruited by Chancellor in November of 2008 while Brent Windler was recruited in May of 2010. A live band version debuted in 2012 that included additional musicians Luke Baker, Jason Trabue and later Stacy Hilt. In 2013, Chancellor relocated the band to San Diego, California at which time he added permanent members Jonathan Wessel, Landon Cobarrubias and Beki Andreasen to replace previously recruited musicians. The band released their No Sleep Records debut on February 3, 2015.
