Graduated with highest honors from the Royal Conservatory in The Hague Has won several international piano competitions A champion of "new music" His compositions have been performed in America, Europe, and Asia Since 2006 he has concentrated on vocal music, setting more than 60 songs to texts from various languages His first opera, commissioned by the Indonesian Opera Society, was premiered in August 2008
