key, syn, 1945-2016 SE
Producer of Pop and Rock
A.k.a. F. Akon

Swedish producer, born 1945, died 2016. Henriksson was born in Dalarna in 1945 but grew up in Stockholm. Early on, he was considered to be a musical wonder child and after studying at the music conservatory in Heidelberg and under Professor Hans Leygraf, he got a job at the record company EMI in charge of the classic record release. In the early 1960s he was a band member of Marianne & the Boys and an early edition of Mascots that he later came to produce. The music industry career accelerated in the 1960s when he worked as technician, musician, singer, songwriter and producer of songwriters and musicians to bands such as The Shanes, The Red Squares, Horanges fom Dalecarlia, Mascots, Tom & Mick & Maniacs, Hounds and others. From August 1965 and the single "The one for you" Tages and Henkan was an inseparable team. Singles such as the "Miss Mac Bar" and "Every raindrop mean a lot" had Henkan's signature. With the help of Henkan, Tages developed into a cult group with the albums "Extra Extra", "Contrast" and "Studio". At the end of 1966, he stared to achieve legendary status. In 1967 he had a total of 27 Swedish number one list hits, with Tages or other bands. As a songwriter, Henkan often collaborated with Thorstein Bergman and wrote songs under the pseudonym F Thokon-F Akon, often single B-sides to Tages, Mascots and Shanes. He was a studio musician on Agnetha Fältskog's first LP. The rumors of Henkan's knowledge and creativity also reached England and George Martin, who in 1969 recruited him to the Abbey Road gang of technicians and producers. Until 1972, he was able to produce the Quatermass group and be technicians on records with King Crimson ("Islands"), Kinks ("Arthur"), Jericho, Ginhouse, Episode Six, Life and Pink Fairies. Together with the songwriters Roger Cook and Roger Greenaway, he was also behind some of the early 70's internationally most popular songs, such as "My Baby Loves Lovin" with White Plains and "Only One Woman" with The Marbles. He sang backing vocals on Elton John's "Take Me To The Pilot". At the same time, he continued to produce albums in Sweden with artists such as Björn Skifs, Janne Lucas Persson and Peter Lundblad and Anders F Rönnblom ("Din Barndom Skall Aldrig Dö", "Ramlösa Kvarn"), the Swedish trio "Life" (1970). The big studio group Baltik was Henkan's creation with musicians from both Sweden and England and various singers of the songs he collected under a name and resulted in the album "Baltik" (1973). He performed in music projects such as Sommarfilosoferna (1970) and Ablution (1974) During the 70's he produced albums with artists such as Björn J: son Lindh, Bernt Staf, Scafell Pike, Paul Paljett and Py Bäckman . In 1975 he started his collaboration with Magnus Uggla. Together they have written many of Uggla's songs like "Varning på stan", "4 sekunder", "Jag mår illa" and "Kung för en dag". Both worked together from 1975 onwards. During the 80's there was a lot of dance band-related music on his conscience but his name also featured on legendary albums like Reeperbahns album "Venuspassagen" which he mixed and then he produced Dan Sundqvist & Prince Valiant's album 1983. He has made several contributions to the Melodifestivalen, and has been the chapel master on three occasions. He was also a chapel master on the Måndagsbörsen TV show and has made over 250 television programs. He made the signature tune for "Björnes magasin" and other film and advertisement music, and the jingle to the Ski World Cup in Falun 1993, based on "Hjortnäslåten". Together with Björn Skifs he made a song for Leksand IF. The news about Anders Henkan Henriksson's death was published on December 5, 2016. He became 71 years old.
