Swedish trombone player living in Denmark since 1996. Working as a full time freelance trombone player, educator, composer, arranger and conductor. EDUCATION: Rhythmic Music Conservatory, Copenhagen (1996-2002) Studied with a.o. Conrad Herwig, Gary Valente, Jigs Wigham, and Nils Landgren ON STAGE: Leader of Elektrojazz – a groovy jazz band with the sound of the seventies. Leader of Anders Larson Quartet, who has collaborated with Paizo String Quartet, Søs Fenger, Anders Bergcrantz, and Gerard Precenser. Performed with numerous big bands – Danish Radio Big Band (DK), Matthew Herbert Big Band (UK), Tivoli Big Band (DK), Ernie Wilkins Almost Big Band (DK), Monday Night Big Band (SE), Aarhus Jazz Orchestra (DK), and many others. Performed in many musicals and TV shows, backing up artists like Kim Wilde, Katie Melua, Westlife, Il Divo, Mick Hucknall, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Outlandish, Thomas Helmig, Eran DD, Sanne Salomonsen and Kim Larsen. COMPOSING/ARRANGING: Anders Larson has written several arrangements for a.o. Danish Radio Big Band, Monday Night Big Band, and Tivoli Big Band with soloists as Mike Stern, Gerard Precenser, James Morrison, and Caroline Henderson.
