Musician of Classical
French cellist. Born in 1894 in Paris. Died in 1982. Studied chamber music with Camille Chevillard and cello with Jules Loëb at the Paris conservatory, receiving his premier prix in 1912. Before the Second World War he taught at several small conservatories in Paris. After the end of the war, he taught the cello class at the École Normale de Musique de Paris. In 1952, he joined the piano trio Trio de France with Geneviève Joy (piano) and Jeanne Gautier (violin). He remained active teaching and performing until the 1970s.
