Album NZ 2013 on Not on Label label
Electronic and Hip-Hop/Rap (Abstract, Trip Hop)
"I wrote 'Sylhet/Shillong' for my father, Jolyon Stewart. It's named for two cities, Sylhet (Sylhet Division, Bangladesh) where he lived till he was about three, and Shillong (now in Meghalaya, India) where he was born. Rimu and rata are trees; rata is an epiphyte. 'Rangatikei' was originally written for a collaboration with Stuart McDonald (aquaboogie.gen.nz). Stuart thought it set the bar too high for what we'd already written, and we kinda let the project slide. Nothing on this EP is Californian, or soft rock. I just like the sound of those words, and the hint of geomorphology they carry."
