A.k.a. Andrew J. Williams
Andrew Williams songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, from Henderson, Nevada Williams' musical career really began in the 1980s, when he toured the United States and Europe with onetime Warner Bros. recording artist T-Bone Burnett. His talents as a multi-instrumentalist and performer soon caught the attention of the label's A&R executives Tom Whalley and Michael Ostin, and along with his brother David, Andrew wrote and recorded three albums for the label as The Williams Brothers. In addition to releasing the Top 40 hit "Can't Cry Hard Enough," the duo appeared in the film and soundtrack, "Grace Of My Heart." In the mid 90's, Williams parlayed his skills as a musician, arranger and engineer into a career as a record producer. Among the artists he has produced are Five For Fighting, Jessica Simpson, the Old 97's, Victoria Williams, Peter Case and Peter Stuart of Dog's Eye View. In addition to producing, Williams has continued working as a songwriter. He co-wrote and produced two tracks on the multi-platinum Jessica Simpson album "In This Skin," (Columbia), and co-wrote two songs on the platinum Five For Fighting album "The Battle For Everything" (Columbia) on which he played guitar. His continued work with Old 97’s front man Rhett Miller included the song “I’m With Her” on Miller’s Verve/Universal release. Andrew's most recent production projects include co-producing the new Five For Fighting album “Two Lights” (Columbia) and producing and string arrangements for the Alice Peacock album “Who I Am” (Peacock Music/Universal Music Group).
